Lex and the formation of the herd.
A single red hind was lying on her side on the side of a road, nestled in bed of grass. The hind’s coat glinted russet and gold in the dying sunlight, the sky bloodied and colorful. Most of the hind’s coat was a rich brownish red like fire bracken, with a chocolate brown outer mane with wisps of that color that muddied the red. The brown first started on top of the deer’s head trailing down her back and onto her tail. Her flank was also the same color brown, along the bottom of the legs.
